Screenshot Highlighter & Annotator
Paste a screenshot, highlight what matters the way a marker would, and point at it with arrows, boxes and circles. Every mark can be moved, resized or removed until you save a new PNG.
Processed locally — your screenshot stays on your device.
Pasting from the clipboard
Pressing Cmd+V or Ctrl+V on this page works in every current browser. The Paste image button asks the browser to read an image from the clipboard; depending on the browser, it shows a permission prompt or a small Paste menu first. The page reads the clipboard only when you paste or select the button, and only takes an image from it.
If the browser refuses, use Cmd+V or Ctrl+V, save the screenshot as a file and open it, or drag it onto the page.
How the highlighter looks
The highlighter darkens the picture by its colour, as ink does on paper. White areas take the full colour, while black text stays black and fully readable. Where two highlights overlap, the overlap is darker, as with a real marker. One stroke that crosses itself is not darker where it crosses.
The other tools draw in solid colour, made see-through by the Opacity setting. To cover something that must stay private, use Blur, Pixelate or Redact an Image, which removes the pixels.
Private by design
Your screenshot is pasted, marked up and saved inside your browser. It is not uploaded to a Doodleden™ server, and nothing about it is stored. The marks and undo history live only in this page while it is open.
