Animated GIF, WebP, AVIF or PNG files are resized as a still image using the first frame; Doodleden does not keep or create animation. HEIC photos open where the browser can read them, which today means Safari 17 or later on a Mac, iPhone or iPad. Doodleden does not create HEIC or AVIF files: browsers cannot create either format, and the encoders that could are large, and for HEIC covered by patents and copyleft licences. The Image Converter explains these formats in more detail.

Private by design

Doodleden is designed to process supported images locally in your browser. Your selected image does not need to be uploaded to a Doodleden server to resize or convert it.
